After Israel was in exile, the Lord told them to have a certain mindset and approach to the place where they now lived. “And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.” Jer. 29:7 NLT. For the month of April and May, we will pray for all the cities in San Bernardino County. And each day for the city where you live using resources on city intercession.
Why pray for other cities than your own? Jesus gave us the reason in Luke 6:38 “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” As we pray for others our own city will be blessed
